John Kaplan joined Boise State University Jan. 26 2015 as the Executive Director of the Boise State University Department of Public Safety. Kaplan brings more than 27 years of supervisory experience in university and municipal police departments, as well as 11 years as the chief of police for multiple entities.

In addition, Kaplan has served as the chief of police in the Potsdam (New York) Municipal Police Department for seven years and for the Village of Norwood (New York) for two years. He also was a lieutenant with the Potsdam Municipal Police Department from 1991-2003.

日本一本道a不卡免费He has served on the Canton-Potsdam Hospital Board of Directors, SUNY Potsdam Alcohol Task Force, Salvation Army Welfare Officer and Disaster Response team, and as a charter member of Saint Lawrence County Drug Task Force, as well as staying involved with the community in many other ways.
Kaplan earned a bachelor of science degree in sociology from State University of New York at Potsdam in 1982, followed by a master’s of art in criminal justice from SUNY at Albany in 1988.
